God knows you!
Whether or not you know yourself right now. God knows YOU! Every hair on your head and every fiber in your being; He knows you and He sees you!

Sometimes we tend to lose ourselves. How it happened doesn’t matter. We begin to neglect ourselves because in all honesty sometimes we feel like a “bad life” is what we deserve. Let me tell you friend, NO ONE is too dirty, too broken, or too “bad” to be made new. Jesus shed His blood on the cross to save the sinner just like he did the saints.
Somehow, some way, we lose who we are because we’re trying our best to be who we think we need to be in the eyes of society. We try our best to get ahead in a world that doesn’t want us to succeed. Do you know who wants to see you succeed? Your Father-who is in Heaven. I know most of us have heard the saying “God only gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers”. Do we really believe that? Is it true that sometimes God allows awful things to happen to people? It sounds heartbreaking, and a lot of us have lived through unspeakable things. Key words there being “LIVED THROUGH”! You are alive, and as long as you have air in your lungs you have a purpose-God’s purpose for you.
I recommend going to your Bible and looking at Psalm 139:13-18 for the full effect, but, for now, I want to focus on verse 16
It reads “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”
What does that mean? It means that God saw us before our mother even knew we were there. It means each and every day of our lives was written in God’s book before we even took our first breath. He has a purpose for your life, according to HIS will.
“Your will be done” ……not mine. We end up losing ourselves because of what’s happened to us or the things we’ve done (maybe even the wrong way) to get ahead so that WE can make our lives better. How many of us feel like we have to hustle day in and day out to get what we think we need? Now, let me ask, how many of us are including God in the things we are doing?
That’s the missing link friends. We can try all we want to do things the way we think we should, but we forgot to walk in God’s purpose for us. Instead of wearing our afflictions on our sleeves-the old “I am like this because xyz happened to me” Let those things be your testimony for all the hard times you’ve LIVED THROUGH! Let God swoop in and save you like he has all this time. He wants a relationship with you. Not just going to church on Sunday or listening to a gospel song every now and then, but an ACTUAL relationship. Pray to Him daily, invite him to sit with you and talk to you, meditate on His word-“Daily Bread”-Hit that Bible honey! His words are ALIVE! And thanks to Him, so are you.
Let God Romans 8:28 your life. Surrender the control to him, lay your burdens at his feet. Give your life to Christ the way He did for you. I promise it’s worth it. He will turn your suffering into success. Yes, bad things happen, but for what purpose? Let Him show you.
Romans: 8:28
“God works all things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose.”
Remember, God doesn’t call the qualified-he qualifies the called.
Your phones ringing.... you should answer that.
Father God,
Thank you first and foremost for the life you give, for the creation we are a part of and for each person reading this right now.
I pray that each person who is struggling in any way shape or form has the courage to call on you Lord. Allow them to lay their burdens, worries, and trials at your feet. I know that you have a purpose for each of us here on earth and as I am realizing for myself, I pray others can too. Show yourself to them Lord- fill them with your Holy Spirit and may they find a friend in your son Jesus Christ. Help us realize that just as you created this beautiful earth, we call home, you saw purpose in each human you’ve placed on it. Allow those who are lost and wandering in the wilderness to come home to you father and begin wondering what’s right and wrong, good versus evil. Father, save us from ourselves. Show us how to be in the world but not of the world. Help us walk in your purpose for our lives. In the name of Jesus, I pray.
Amen
